#SayYestoKaffeCollective21 Creative Workshop

Participation in workshop not required for challenge entry! Read the details from FreeSpirit below.

We are dedicating classroom time for you to work alongside others participating in this challenge.
Get ideas, opinions, and inspiration as you work exclusively with Kaffe Fabrics towards an entry to the #SayYestoKaffeCollective21 challenge. As we go along we can help with finishing, and photographing too!

Join us for one or all of the days, but these dates are 100% dedicated to working on this challenge project.

For copyright reasons registration into our workshop requires the book Quilts in an English Village (list price $29.99), we are offering it at a discount (20% off) if you add it onto your registration.

Here are the details from FreeSpirit on the #SayYestoKaffeCollective21 challenge.

How?

  • Step 1: Select one quilt from Kaffe Fassett's newest book, Quilts in an English Village, available in August 2021.
  • Step 2: Run to your favorite quilt shop and hand-pick the perfect Kaffe Fassett Collective fabrics* to make the selected quilt from Quilts in an English Village (see details).
  • Step 3: Starting in OCTOBER, select, cut, preview, audition and audition again, until your color and design choices make you feel happy and very Kaffe-like.
  • Step 4: Now, with your creativity and color sensibility in just the right place, make your quilt or quilt top by February 14, 2022.
  • Step 5: Post your rendition of your Quilts in an English Village quilt on your personal Facebook or Instagram account using hashtag: #SayYestoKaffeCollective2021 and tag @yourlocalquiltshop. (We hope you will tag @bigfootQuilts of course!)
  • Step 6: Kaffe will search #SayYestoKaffeCollective21 and select his favorite quilts to win prizes valued up to $1,000 USD/$1,340 CAD.

Because it's still a pandemic, we've made some changes to how we run in-person classes:
  • We will be following all state and local COVID-19 guidelines and mandates.
  • Teachers and students must be vaccinated and wear a mask for the entire duration of the class.
  • For checking vaccination status, we are following the rules established by WA DOH.

Before signing up for class, please check your schedule and read our class policy carefully. To be fair to our teachers and other students we must remain firm on our registration and cancellation policies.

  • Any class where the fee is more than $100, 50% is due when you sign up. The other 50% of the fee is due 60 days before the class begins. To sign up with a deposit only, please call or stop by the store; we can only process full payment enrollments on the website.

    • If you need to cancel more than 60 days before the start of class, any fees paid are refundable except for an administrative fee of 10%. If it is less than 60 days, the fee (less admin fee) can be refunded only if your space in class can be filled.

  • Classes, where the fee is less than $100, must be paid in full when you sign up for class. Cancellations must be made at least 7 days prior to class and you will be issued store credit.

  • Our guest teachers reserve the right to cancel 48 hours prior to any class if the participation level is below any stated minimum.
  • We will issue a full refund for any class we fully cancel. We will reschedule classes as quickly as possible, rescheduled classes are not subject to a full refund, if you cannot attend the new dates you will receive a store credit.
  • Your registration in class implies your agreement to adhere to all the above-stated cancellation and refund policies.
  • Your registration in class implies your agreement to adhere to our current mask policy. No refunds will be given if you choose not to attend class based on any expectation of a relaxed mask policy.
  • In the event of inclement weather, classes could have a delayed start time or be rescheduled for another day. If we are experiencing snow and icy conditions please check social media including Facebook and Instagram. This will be the quickest way to receive updates as the stores might not be open if road conditions are too dangerous for staff to get to the store to call or email you.
