In this workshop, you will make 1 Witch (approx 28" tall when complete). We have an Elf and Witches on display (and more coming soon!)!
Your registration includes the pattern (Stitchy Little Witchy), and a variety of fun and festive fabrics to construct the doll and her clothes. (please make a note on what season you would like when signing up for class)
Everyone registered prior to September, 1 will also receive a pre-painted/drilled wooden base and precut/drilled wooden legs.
If you register after 9/1 you must provide your own 6"x7" wooden base (pre-painted) and two 5/8" x 18" wooden dowels (I am happy to drill them after you arrive).
Small embellishments are included. Check the floral section of Michael's or at your local Dollar Store for something that gives your doll a "wow factor".
What you will need to bring...
Sewing Machine (power cord and foot pedal too!)
Basic sewing supplies including point turner (chopsticks work!)
Variety of thread colors (minimum 1 light and 1 dark) you will be topstitching some trims and hems.
Hand sewing needle(s)
small glue gun (if you have one, we won't use them much don't buy one if you don't already own one!)
A few ideas of embellishments that really finish the doll with a wow;
-pom-pom or ric-rac trim, lace, ribbon in seasonal colors (BFQ has red, white, black, green available)
-feather boa
-spiders, crows, pumpkins, cauldron, miniature skeletons, ornaments, snowflakes, small toys, small sled, etc.
-fake flowers/berries, feathers
-Whatever you can think of! Be Creative!
Not all embellishments are necessary to bring to class, many can be added after completion. However, you will want to bring anything you intend to sew onto your skirt or cape (feather boa, lace, pom-pom or ric-rac, etc)
If you have previously purchased this pattern here at Bigfoot Quilts we will happily give you store credit for the price of the pattern.
Because it's still a pandemic, we've made some changes to how we run in-person classes:
Before signing up for class, please check your schedule and read our class policy carefully. To be fair to our teachers and other students we must remain firm on our registration and cancellation policies
For any class where the fee is more than $100, 50% is due when you sign up. The other 50% of the fee is due 60 days before the class begins. To sign up with a deposit only, please call or stop by the store; we can only process full payment enrollments on the website.
If you need to cancel more than 60 days before the start of class, any fees paid are refundable except for an administrative fee of 10%. If it is less than 60 days, the fee (less admin fee) can be refunded only if your space in class can be filled.
Classes, where the fee is less than $100, must be paid in full when you sign up for class. Cancellations must be made at least 7 days prior to class and you will be issued store credit.
