Katalox Sewing Notions

Katalox, or Mexican Royal Ebony sewing notions are crafted by hand, no 2 pieces are identical in shape or color.

Our handles are 3.25" inches between inserts.

Inserts are available in Chrome, 24kt Gold, and Chrome Satin finish.

Heartwood is dark reddish-brown to nearly black, sometimes with a strong purple hue. Sapwood is sharply demarcated and is pale yellowish-white. Pieces with curly or wavy grain are not uncommon. Katalox is native to Southern Mexico, Central America, and northern South America
